Uniting Australian kids through fun and exciting game based activities, Junior Blasters is all about fast-paced fun, friends and being part of a squad.

Learn the skills to play cricket through fun game based activities.

Recommended for kids from Pre-Primary to Year 1, of all skills and abilities
60 minutes of fun each session
Participate in skill development activities and modified games
Make new friends and learn new skills including catching, throwing and teamwork
All kids get their own Blasters Pack and wear the colours of their favourite Big Bash heroes
Parents join in the fun!

Safe and inclusive for kids of all abilities…

To ensure the safety of all participants, we use plastic bats and a rubber ball.
Activities use softer balls of different sizes, so kids can participate and develop at their own pace.
We provide an environment focusing on kids abilities.

Each session includes skill activities and a game of backyard cricket…

The Junior Blasters program is designed for parents to get involved and spend some quality time with their child learning some simple cricket skills. Your involvement in the program has a huge impact on your child’s enjoyment, skill progression and achievement.
The Blast Crew is a great first step for first time cricket parents to get involved and have some fun with your child and provide a great experience.

The WJCC cricket blast season runs as follows:

At WJCC you get 13 weeks of fast-paced, action packed fun – all for one value price – it’s great value! (normal Cricket Blast programs are only 6 weeks long)
Junior Blaster sessions are Fridays 5:30-6:30pm under lights at MacDonald Park across the season
Season starts in the last week of October each year and runs through to the middle of December for the first half of the season
WJCC Junior Cricket breaks for the Xmas School Holidays – your kids will love using their Cricket Blast skills over summer holidays at the beach!
We resume at the start of Feb each year after school holidays
At WJCC Cricket Blast finishes up in the third week of March, with the hugely popular Kids vs Parents – Sausage Sizzle and Trophy night
