Whitfords Terrm 1 2026 Cricket Blast “Skills Blast” is an awesome $59, professional coach led, 7-week program run on Friday nights at MacDonald Park, Padbury.
For boys and girls of all skill levels from PP to Year 2, it includes activities and game play designed to unite kids in a frenzy of fun and excitement.
Your kids will make new friends, learn new skills, and experience the thrill of being part of the team, as they begin thier journey with the Whitfords Cricket Family!
What is Skills Blast?
Whitfords Skills Blast teaches kids how to play cricket! They’ll learn batting, bowling, throwing, catching, fundamental movement skills and the basics of the game. They’ll also get plenty of time for safe and enjoyable game play with thier friends. Most of all they’ll have heaps of fun!
Whitfords Skills Blast is safe and inclusive for kids of all abilities…
- To ensure the safety of all participants, we use plastic bats and a rubber ball.
- Activities use softer balls of different sizes, so kids can participate and develop at their own pace.
- We provide an environment focusing on kids abilities.
What happens in a Skills Blast session?
- Welcome/Warm-Up (5 mins)
- Activities & Games (30 mins)
- Backyard Cricket (20 mins)
- Closing and pack up (5 mins)
Who runs it?
Your kids will be guided by professional and experienced coaches from Perth Cricket Academy (PCA).
Each week the Skills Blast session will be led by one of PCA’s experienced and qualified junior cricket head coaches, backed up by two professional assistant coaches, bringing the best environment for learning, fun, and game play for kids and parents alike!
How much?
For Term 1 2026 WJCC Skills Blast is for PP to Year 2 players and costs just $59 for 7 action packed 60 mins sessions across the summer.
When?
Friday evenings – Arrive 5:15. Sessions run 5:30 to 6:30pm.
First half of season (Completed): 8 sessions from Fri 24 Oct to Fri 12 Dec 2025
Second half of season (Term 1 2026): 7 sessions from Fri 30 Jan to Fri 20 Mar 2026

- The Whitfords Skills Blast program is designed for parents to get involved and spend some quality time with their child learning some simple cricket skills. Your involvement in the program has a huge impact on your child’s enjoyment, skill progression and achievement.
- Volunteering in Cricket Blast is a great first step for first time cricket parents to get involved and have some fun with your child and provide a great experience.
